Our leadership team

After completing my English Language and Linguistics degree at York St John, I embarked on my teaching career in my hometown of Wakefield. I was then successful in obtaining a place on the first year of the Red Kite Teacher Training Programme, completing placements at primary schools in Harrogate. 

My ten years as a primary school teacher have afforded me opportunities to lead a variety of subjects including: PE, Computing and more recently, English. There have been many highlights throughout my teaching career to date but meeting the astronaut, Tim Peake has certainly got to be up there. 

I am currently in the final stages of completing a qualification in leading teaching and I am looking forward to drawing upon this experience in my role on the leadership team here at Starbeck Primary Academy.
