Ofsted and performance
Starbeck Primary Academy is a good school in all areas, according to a report by Ofsted following their inspection of the school in March 2024.
- Inspectors recognised the work we have done to develop our curriculum and the way that children learn in a “precise, logical order”. Teachers were found to have good subject knowledge and Inspectors noted that children “speak positively about their learning”.
- The report acknowledged our positive reading culture, observing that “pupils immerse themselves in books” and that children of all ages are inspired by reading and storytelling.
- Our highly inclusive and supportive approach was also recognised, with Inspectors reporting that “pupils enjoy attending this inclusive and caring school” and stating that all pupils “have a good understanding of equality”. The way older students support younger students was references with particular acknowledgement to our play leaders initiative.
